Dr Rory Bennett

Rory is a Consultant Haematologist with experience in the diagnosis and management of malignant and non-malignant blood disorders. He has a special interest and particular expertise in lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL).

Rory gained his medical degree from the University of Auckland and is a Fellow of both the Royal Australian College of Physicians and Royal Australasian College of Pathologists. After completing specialist training in Auckland, he undertook a two-year fellowship in lymphoma and CLL at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne.

Rory works as a Consultant Clinical and Laboratory Haematologist at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand Waitematā (North Shore and Waitakere hospitals). He is passionate about clinical research and medical advances in Haematology - Rory is active site principal investigator of several studies and has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in Haematology journals. He is an active member of the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group and Australasian Lymphoma Alliance.

Rory strives to provide evidence-based, patient-centred, and compassionate care to people living with blood disorders. He is a clear communicator and has a friendly approach with his patients. Rory enjoys the teamwork required to provide excellent patient care.
