Introducing Dr Anna Bashford
Anna is a Medical Oncologist with a special interest in breast cancer. She cares for patients with both early and advanced disease.
Anna graduated from the University of Otago in 1993 and was awarded the James Roberts Boyd Prize in Clinical Medicine. In 2000 she worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at The Royal Marsden Hospital, London. She was appointed as a Research Fellow at The Institute of Cancer Research, London, in 2001 while also working in the Breast Team at The Royal Marsden.
In 2006 Anna qualified as a specialist and was appointed as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Auckland City Hospital where she is a member of the Breast Group and is involved in clinical research. Anna enjoys working with her patients, their families, and a multi-disciplinary team to provide the best possible care.
