Malignant blood disorders including: Myeloma, lymphoma, myeloproliferative disease, chronic myeloid (CML) and lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL)
Non-malignant blood disorders including: Haemochromatosis, abnormal blood cell counts, selected thrombosis cases (DVT/PE)
Vocational Experience
Tom is a clinical Haematologist with an interest in Myeloma, Lymphoma and Myeloproliferative Disease. Originally trained in the UK, he completed his Haematology training in 2022 in Auckland.
Tom works full time in the Public System at Waitemata DHB, where he holds clinical and research roles. He has a passion for medical education and systems improvement.
An excellent communicator, Tom is a strong advocate of patient-centred care with the ability to explain complex haematological diagnoses and empowering the patient to make the right treatment choices for themselves and their families.
